Meet the friendly faces behind the scenes, led by the ever-smiling manager, Abigail Kershaw.
This amazing team goes above and beyond to organise a plethora of events and activities, tailor-made for our residents. Not just devoted to creating a safe, fun, and friendly environment for residents, but also extending their warmth to families and friends.

Our Team

    Abigail Kershaw – Manager

    Abigail Kershaw joined us as the new registered manager at Croston Park in 2024, bringing with her an impressive eight years of experience as a registered nurse. Her extensive career, primarily focused on acute medicine within hospital settings, showcases her capabilities in managing wards and her specialisation as a respiratory nurse.

    Abigail's dedication to healthcare was further highlighted during the pandemic when she volunteered in a COVID ward, demonstrating her commitment to patient care in the most challenging circumstances. Additionally, she has valuable experience in residential care for the elderly, underscoring her comprehensive understanding of the needs of our residents.

    Tracey Taylor - Deputy Manager

    On the back of getting her nursing qualifications in 2009, Tracey spent the the next 14 years working for the NHS. In 2023, Tracy came to Croston Park in as a night nurse, before taking on the role as deputy manager in March 2024.

    Danielle - Admin

    Began working in the care sector at 18 years old, eventually becoming a clinical carer. In 2023, Danilelle took on the role as admin.

    Maureen - Hospitality Manager

    Maureen started working at Croston in August 1989. Originally starting off as a bank care assistant on nights, she was then promoted to deputy manager, then manager of the residential side. In 2007, Maureen took on the admin role following the Parklane Healthcare takeover.

    Maureen started to reduce her hours in preparation for her Retirment, and recently took on the new role of hospitality lead in February 2024.

    Jenny Forrest – Wellbeing Coordinator

    Jenny's the life of the party at Croston Park! As our Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator, she's always coming up with fun and creative ways to keep our residents entertained.

    If you're looking for a good laugh, just ask Jenny about her latest adventure! “Croston Park is more than just a job, it feels like a second family to me. The team here is amazing, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to make a positive difference in our residents' lives."

    Craig – Maintenance

    Craig joined became head of maintenance in November 2023, keeping the grounds in top notch condition all year round.

    Claire Lane, Marketing Manager

    Claire began working for Park Lane Healthcare 19 years ago working in accounts but since taking a break to have her three girls, is back in action as the Hospitality & Marketing Manager. It's a role that keeps her on her toes, but she wouldn't have it any other way!

    She makes sure the residents feel comfortable and welcome, supports the activities team with all sorts of fun events, and keeps everyone in the loop with the monthly newsletter and Facebook updates.

    Andrew Shepherd, Operations and Compliance Director

    Andrew studied law, working extensively for the Crown Prosecution Service in West Yorkshire before joining us. He obtained enormous experience in all aspects of law in a fast moving, high-pressure environment.

    His deep examination of the legal aspects of running care homes in an ever complex world, where health and safety issues, the Mental Capacity Act and numerous other critical issues are at the fore, have proved vital in delivering the correct decisions for Park Lane Healthcare.
